Sevillanas flamenco

One of my classes this semester is flamenco, in which we are learning how to dance the four Sevillanas. We've had 13 class periods so far, and this is what we've learned. Now, keep in mind that we have a lot of work to do before we're perfect, and a pitch for me is that the guy's part is supposed to be more stripped down and less flashy than the girl's part...so, without further adieu, here's a video of what we've learned so far, featuring the amazing Nicole Drinkwater, another SAIIE student!

Oh, and we also had an assignment to write our own flamenco song, though our flamenco teacher only wanted us to write one of the four, and it didn't have to be at all fancy, but of course I took it to the next level, writing all four Sevillanas, including a ton of slang from Spain. The song's about a tragic love story of a young woman. As with a lot of colloquial language, there's usually some expressions that mean something entirely different than what they literally translate to, so I have the Spanish text of the song, the colloquial translation, and the literal translation.
